Abundant Life: Lessons of the Christian Life 6 - Telling Others about Jesus
Hi, kids! Did you know Jesus came to earth to give us an abundant life? Here’s what He said about His followers in John 10:10… “I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” So, what does that mean? How do we get to do this? What will it look like in our lives? When we receive His gift of salvation, our lives will change, and there should be differences that others around us can notice! We’ll be taking a few weeks to talk about some of the foundational aspects of the Christian life that can help you live abundantly!
Lesson 6: Telling Others about Jesus
A good life is something that everyone wants to live! Jesus said that He can give us a good life, He called it an abundant life, which means life-to-the-full. He said we can have that if we believe in Him. Last time we learned about how knowing the Word of God helps us know what God is like and what His promises are for us in this abundant life. This week we’ll look at the importance of sharing our faith with others.
Today’s Bible Story: Peter Preaches about Jesus
In Acts 2 after the Holy Spirit was poured out in the upper room, Peter and the disciples came down out into the streets of Jerusalem. Everyone was confused and amazed to hear the disciples speak in tongues, so Peter got up to explain everything. Remember, Jesus told them when they received the Holy Spirit that power would come upon them? Well, it sure did! Peter received boldness to tell all the crowds about Jesus, how He died for their sins, and how He rose again to give them a new life in Him. Here’s a Bible Story video about that encounter:
