What About Unanswered Prayer? #fromSunday
Hey everyone - hope you enjoyed the online service this Sunday. If you haven’t yet experienced it, you can do so here. Highlights for me were:
The way the worship time ended with some spontaneous declarations of hope. LOVED THIS! God is so good. If you need hope this week, go there again. Load up the vid and fwd. to the last few minutes of the worship (approx. at 35-39min mark)
The way Charis and Super-Tim interacted in the kids component! You’ve got to admit that was pretty great! Not only the truth of God’s word, but also the accents, …oh the accents! Find it where all the kids vids are nestled over at www.gatewayvictory.com/kids
I really felt in the message part that God was highlighting the “stand” we can take when prayers aren’t seeming to be answered and when things are (or seem to be!) going wrong. So much of our Christianity is about the positioning of our hearts before God (as His kids, as recipients of all He has provided, as lights in this world, etc.) - and the three “stances / stands” we covered on Sunday are so key for us to choose during difficult times.
Sunday is meant to be fuel for the week for us believers! So in that vein I’ve prepared a video with summary thoughts for your journey, and a track to run on for this week. Use it as fuel for life-change as you live out your faith. The content builds on what we talked about on Sunday, and provides practical ways forward. Hope it blesses you!

Fuel for the Week
Here’s a track for positioning yourself well when you’re in difficult times and prayers don’t seem to be getting answered. If you mark up your Bible, these verses should be glowing! Grab a journal, find that Bible, and let’s go…
MONDAY: Sunday point #1. You’re @ war! Make it personal - how is the enemy coming against me in the areas of myself, my sphere of influence, the world) - 1 Pet. 5:8, Eph. 6
TUESDAY: Sunday point #1! Plan to specifically and regularly resist the enemy. Specifically in that if there is something RIGHT NOW you need to pray against, do it in Jesus Name! Regularly in that it’s prudent to have a plan that systematically and periodically “resists” the enemy. Here’s the prayer I use every day.
WEDNESDAY: Sunday point #2. Responsibility of faith! What are you believing for in the Word? Mark 11:23-25. Some great promises here for many areas of life
THURSDAY: Sunday point #2. Responsibility of faith! How will you keep it top of mind? Maybe you can print them off? Paste them around the house? Make a reminder on your phone? Something!!!
FRIDAY: Sunday Point #3. Your final victory! Means all things possible now - Matt. 19:26 Bask in this knowledge. Let Holy Spirit reveal to you what this could look like on this side of heaven. Then believe Him!
SATURDAY: Sunday Point #3. Your final victory! Means all things made new then - Rev. 21:5 Let Holy Spirit reveal to you what this could look like in heaven. Then believe Him!
