Made for Praise! Lesson 8/8 - Hallelujah

What is praise and worship? Are there different ways to praise the Lord? What’s it for? How do we do it? The following lessons help kids explore what it means to praise the Lord, and the amazing power and results we can get from doing it. Different words in the Bible are translated as “praise,” and each of them describes a different way to praise.

Today’s Hebrew Praise Word: Hallelujah, which in every language means Praise the Lord!

All over the world, Christians of every country and in every language say, “Hallelujah!” And every time it means praise the Lord. This means we can go anywhere in the world, and when we say Hallelujah, other believers know exactly what we mean.

Here’s our teaching video that talks all about this: Made for Praise - Lesson 8 - Hallelujah

And here’s a video about this Bible Story: Paul and Silas; Crossroads Kids

When Paul and Silas were chained in prison, they praised the Lord, even though their situation seemed hopeless, and great power was released that broke their chains and shook open the prison doors. As a result, the prison guard and his entire family became believers! Check it out in Acts 16:16-34.

And that brings us to our praise motto this week: When I praise the Lord, chains are broken!
