The Key to Great Strength #fromSunday
Hey Everyone :-) In church this last Sunday we looked at how “the joy of the Lord is our strength”. Missed it? Click here.
Worthy of note from our time together:
#1. Remember, as go about this Christmas week, the enemy is out to steal our joy. The Bible says that our “adversary” is prowling about looking for some joy to steal! Decide that it won’t be from you or your home. No matter what we’re facing this Christmas, Jesus’ arrival is still “good news of great joy”. Let it be that to your soul!
#2. Some of our hearts need to hear the the truth in this song. I sense this over and over and so wanted to put it here. Make it your prayer for yourself, your heart, your home, and for people you know and love. God is sooooooo wonderful!
#3. Here’s the link to the John Eldredge passage I read out at the beginning of my message on Sunday. He has a refreshing (and shocking in some ways!) perspective of the Christmas story! Enjoy.
So, here’s to a joy-filled Christmas week everyone. May your homes be abundantly blessed.

Fuel For Your Week
In our look at Joy we've seen so far that it is God’s Divine Gift to us (John 15-17 ….three times promised!), and that it can be the Divine Motivation in our lives (Heb. 12:2-3). This last week we wrapped up the series by showing how God’s joy is Divine Strength.
The message on Sunday encouraged us all to ask the Lord three questions and to allow Him to answer us and for it to direct our thinking and choices. The questions were:
God, how can I get closer
God, what are you up to?
God what do you want me to do?
How about taking some time to sit with God, or go for a walk with Him, and begin to journal out these questions and the answers that Holy Spirit gives you. Friends, create the space in your life and heart and He will fill it!
