Life-Perspectives for a New Year
Here we are on the other side of the holiday season! Hopefully you’ve enjoyed Christmas and New Years celebrations and are settling into 2020 in hey-it’s-a-new-decade style.
2020! A brand new slate, and, we declare, a new season in our church and in each of our lives. We’ve been looking on Sundays at how our life is like a path. How…
Your life is headed in a certain direction, and it pays to think about it
God has a plan for your life, and it’s pretty great!
It all comes down to relationship with God and walking closer with Him as He shows you the way
God has a way in which you can prosper in every area of life
Imagine that! Prospering in your home life, your work place, in your finances and in your health. Imagine areas of your life that seem to have plateaued lately, or been resistant to change, beginning to flourish and fulfill desire again! This is essentially God’s promise in Psalm 1:3.
How’s that for a New Years goal-setting perspective? Let’s choose to see our lives thru the lens of the above truths. This is what it’s like to walk with God.
As you ponder your path this week, and as you are perhaps following the devotional track of our 21-Day Fast, note the following:
God sees - Prov. 5:21 - He sees your path and knows your life. He cares and is there with you, along side you, to help you.
God speaks -Prov. 3:32b - He is speaking His wisdom to your heart. He will speak to you His Words of life as you quiet your heart to hear Him. Ask Him questions, listen.
God acts - Is. 64:4 - He acts for those who wait for Him. Sometimes the most productive thing we can do in a situation is to pray and trust God. Don’t lift a finger, and don’t stress. Let God win the battle for you.
So make a plan to set some time aside for the Holy Spirit to speak to you what He sees and what He wants to do in your life. Remember: WE SERVE A MIRACLE-WORKING GOD, so don’t limit Him. May God bless your relationship with Him as you pray and seek Him for your life this month.
See you around,
Rowan
