What You Do Every Day

Habits and routines a person does every day have a lot to do in determining quality of life, and life’s overall trajectory. Here in the beginning of not just a new year but a new DECADE, it pays to evaluate your routines in the light of this, and to stop/start some.

Imagine where a small change now could take you 10 years from now?

Proverbs 8:34 says that the blessed person (happy, to be exact in translation!) is one who listens to God. How? Practicing it Every. Day. Let’s look at this further:

  • The posture for this is watching and waiting before God. We pray, worship, read the Bible as we wait to see what God will say to us personally. We journal it, think about it, and make any sensings we get here from God a guide in our decisions and actions during the day.

  • This is the key to life! The John 10:10 kind of life!

  • This is also the way that we win in every challenge we face. “Obtain favor” here in this verse means “causes victory”! That’s right, not only in life in general do we find the best life by listening daily to God, but also in the challenges we face RIGHT NOW.

See, it’s worth the 20 minutes earlier wake-up time. It’s more valuable than the snooze button! It’ll pay more than the lunch with co-workers. It’s worth staying up late. However you need to do it, carve it into your day. A time to watch and wait before the Lord. It’ll change the whole trajectory of your life.
