What God Did!
On October 20th we held our International Feast as a church. Every year this is our chance to celebrate all the ethnic diversity God has blessed us with as we bring food from all over world to share together. It’s turned out year over year to be one of our favorite post-church meal times.
This year, in the spirit of outreach, we decided to pull out all the stops and invite the neighborhood, friends, family, and anyone who happened across our sponsored ads on FB! We set up a guest speaker, we sent out invites, and we prepared great food, drinks, and some fun and games.
And we prayed and prayed and prayed! Here’s what God did:
2 salvations! People coming to Christ for the first time is an amazing miracle!
“Wall to wall” altar call and prayer line as we received miracles from God!
Our largest service of the year numerically!!! Yup, the most we’ve had in one service all 2019!
Our teams mobilized in great form. You all stepped up and you shined! Thank you all :-)
Think of if. God used us as church to spread HIs message of love and grace to people that really needed it that day. Two people gave their hearts over to Him, and many more received a touch of His power. This is what our church is created for: life-changing God-encounters! These results make it all worthwhile! Thank you to everyone for the part you played - from set up to hospitality, from praise and worship to children’s ministry to the tear down. GOD USED US!
As we set about following up and planning our next outreach, let’s keep our prayers up - for people who have been ministered to and for the next ones to know Him. Let’s pray see His Kingdom like never before!
Onward!
